Direct and Indirect Speech
Remember: Direct speech uses the exact words someone said, with quotation marks. Indirect speech reports what someone said without using their exact words or quotation marks.
Example: "I am going to the park," said Sarah. → Sarah said that she was going to the park.
Part A: Convert Direct Speech to Indirect Speech
Rewrite each sentence in indirect (reported) speech.
1. "I have finished my homework," Tom announced.
