Remember: A good paragraph has a clear topic sentence that states the main idea, followed by supporting sentences that give details, examples, or explanations.
Part A: Identify the Topic Sentence
Read each paragraph and underline the topic sentence.
Regular exercise provides many benefits for teenagers. It helps improve physical fitness and builds stronger muscles and bones. Exercise also boosts mental health by reducing stress and anxiety. Additionally, being active can help students sleep better at night and feel more energised during the day.
The school library is located on the second floor of the main building. It opens at 8:00 am and closes at 4:00 pm on weekdays. Students can borrow up to five books at a time for two weeks. The library also has computers available for research and study spaces for group projects. Our school library is an excellent resource for all students.
