on wednesday___ it rained heavily___ so we visited the rotorua museum instead___ unfortunately___ the museum was closed for earthquake repairs___ so we went to the nearby government gardens and took shelter in the blue baths building___ we learned that people used to swim in the thermal pools there in the 1930s___
before heading home on friday___ we stopped at a hangi feast___ we tried traditional māori food cooked in an earth oven___ including kumara___ pork___ and stuffing___ ___ this is delicious______ i said to mum___ she agreed___ saying it was the perfect way to end our rotorua adventure___
